In the later years of his life, saying “I love you” became his mantra at the end of every conversation. It was like he couldn’t say it enough, saying “I love you” so many times, you’d almost have to cut him off to get out the door.
I know for the rest of my life, like him, I will say “I love you”, like a mantra, to the spirit of him as well as to everyone in my life. I hope that we can all take that lesson from him. To say I love you, as if you just couldn’t say it enough.
