My dad is the strongest man I knew, physically and mentally. He migrated from Belize in the early 70’s for hopes of a better life. Father to 9 children and grandfather to 8, my dad was truly amazing. A provider, hardworking, polite and encouraging. My dad believed in living for today because tomorrow is not promised. When my mom passed away in 2011 from cancer, he promised her that he would continue to look after the grandkids (us kids too, although we were all adults) and he did that up until the day he passed away. I miss him, there have not been words created to describe the grief and loss I’ve experienced. He always said “You don’t miss the water until the well run dry”. Man is that an understatement.
