Las Vegas Strong

 

On the one year anniversary of the shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, COC returned to pay tribute to the community of Las Vegas by constructing a 6 foot tall memorial heart. Each framed photo of a life lost, each orange flower, each candle, was a reminder to the loved ones still grieving: I hope U know how Strong U Are. 

 

Route 91 Festival took the lives of 58 concertgoers. Maya Angelou often said, “when you know better, do better.” As a collective community, we have learned to do better time and time again but our laws, our politicians and our government have not reflected the will and voice of the people. We need to demand better from our government and our communities in power.
