My mother was an immigrant that came from Mexico wanting a better life. She wanted to be able to provide for my brother and I a future full of possibilities. She dealt with a lot of obstacles and despite her mental health issues my brother and I have been able to fulfill her aspirations the best we can. I want my mother to be remembered as a Latina mother that sacrifice her life back home to provide a better future for her kids and for that I will always be grateful.
