Classroom of Compassion is a 501(c)(3) arts and advocacy organization building and designing safe spaces for the well-being of anyone experiencing trauma and in need of compassionate care. By creating site-specific, inclusive, representative environments, we facilitate conversations and connections during the grieving process help soothe suffering, to nurture communities and individuals in need through the artistic practice of compassion.
Classroom of Compassion was conceived in 2018 as a compassionate response to the changing landscape for those struggling with mental health in an ever-changing world, especially amongst our most marginalized communities. Our spaces offer site specific art installations, created alongside and for the community, and skilled compassion ambassadors that provide resources and tools for self and communal care. Our artistic programming and compassionate practice is inclusive and reflexive, fully customizable and adaptable for schools, businesses, community gatherings, festivals, and more.
Classroom of Compassion aims to inspire a future that supports the wellness of ALL communities through the restorative and artistic practice of compassion. We celebrate the unique history and stories of every community we serve and offer the tools and resources to foster spaces of inclusivity and renewal. We hope every person, in every community, knows how loved, strong, and important they are.
